This project explored the translation and relationship between movement and the definition of architectural space. It began with the creation of a choreographic pattern of movements along an existing stair. This pattern was developed out of the Fibonacci sequence (0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, ...). The movements were then transcribed into a point cloud mapped across four axes: x, y, z, and time. The resulting movements of the body upon the stair were reduced to a seemingly chaotic cluster of straight lines. This aparent disorder inspired the design concept.

Although these line segments are perceived as nothing but a cluster of disorder, strict order exists within the intesections of the lines with the grid, within the precision of the cluster itself, and within the conformity of the lines to the human form, a geometry that was derived from the original choreography.
